Honest Artist Challenge
Copy and paste these 20 questions about being an artist... and answer them honestly ! Title your journal "Honest Artist Challenge". A genre or style I've tried and decided isn't for me : I'm very slow at drawing, so I tried some rapid and spontaneous styles. But I always had to make too many attempts to obtain something barely satisfying :D A common art advice I find hard to follow : I know that my art is kinda "rigid"... but I don't know how to give more life to my drawings ! My biggest art-related fear : Actually ? Art devalued by AI generated pictures. It's already happening. A project I've been putting off : One day I hope I'll have enough time and courage to draw and publish a story I wrote when I was teen. It was about my dog as a secret agent :D A subject I feel like I'll never master : Uh... Anatomy, perspective and composition. News from Blobland !
As explained in the previous journal, I'm actually participating to a massive experiment about Global Warming. I'm one of the 15 000 volunteers studying how the blob reacts to sudden, progressive, intense, long or repeated heat waves. My mission is about sudden and intense waves : keeping the blobs exposed to 30°C (86 °F) during 24h, 48h, or 6 days (this one is a long wave). The experiment begins with 4 blobs, cut to become 8 new blobs : half as control group, half as experimental group. Everyday I cut, feed and take photos of the blobs to measure how fast they grow depending on the temperature. I just finished the 24h heat wave and all my blobs survived, even if... it was not funny for them. They stopped to grow and had difficult to recover, but they did ! I'm actually experimenting the 48h wave and... uh... they did not appreciate at all. One of them died, two others are in a very bad shape, the last one is still alive for the moment. It's heartbreaking. I'm crossing
The blob is HERE !
Do you remember this ? I'm actually participating to an experiment with 15000 volunteers and our goal is to study the effects of global warming on a very special living being : the blob. Also called slime mold. This unicellular organism is visible to the naked eye and has pretty interesting behaviours, that's why scientists begin to study it closely. I had to be patient... but I finally received my blob ! Its scientific name is Badhamia Utricularis. I expected another type of blob, but HAHAHA, this one is so fun ! Few days ago I launched the pre-experiment, which consist in waking the blob up and making him grow. Yeah... I inverted the boxes, my bad. But look at this dude running into its breakfast !
